Maybe your Fisher never had a case, or the current case has seen better days after ~50 years of service. Either way, we have you covered. We have created a faithful copy of the original Fisher factory case, which was an add-on option when the receiver was new. You have your choice of walnut veneer with solid walnut front bezel (just like the factory produced) or solid walnut sides, top and bezel (many people consider this to be an upgrade from the factory choice).
 
A note on case construction: Everyone seems to have an opinion as to whether veneer or solid wood is ‘better.’ There is no one-size-fits-all answer. Veneer has great advantages including stability (resistance to cracking and warping) and a pleasing constancy that highlights an unbroken vista of the wood's grain. Solid cases have gravitas and character.
 
Fisher made many receivers, and this case is designed for the esteemed 500-T and 700-T models, but there is an excellent chance that it fits others as well. The bezel size of these receivers are approximately 16-11/16 x 5-1/16 inches. The maximum outside dimensions of this case (without the rubber feet) are 17-1/4 x 5-5/8 inches and it is 12-5/8 deep. If you need guidance on whether other models of receiver will fit this case, contact us.
 
Produced by hand in Colorado, we carefully select our walnut and veneer to showcase the beauty of the wood. We like a little spice: some variation and knots are to be expected! Use the photos as a guide as to what you can expect. The case comes as pictured: pre-finished with Danish Oil stain, metal ventilation screen, 4 rubber feet and the 4 proper mounting screws. The photos denote which models are veneer and which have solid walnut. Note that the Fisher 700 receiver in some pictures is used for illustration purposes but is not included.
